Uninspired Wardrobe...

Well it has been forever since I've blogged, you can thank school for that! But now it is time for a little fun and fashion. Today as I read through The New York Times Style pages I saw something that caught my eye. There was a short article about how many people get uninspired by their wardrobes and want something different. Now, if you know me you know how I have a slight clothing fetish and that I couldn't possibly ever run out of things to wear...not true by the way! Well I currently look through my drawers and in my closet and think, "I have absolutely nothing to wear!" Now I know you would all say I was crazy, but I need to have inspiration when it comes to my choice of outfit for the day and if I'm not inspired by it then who else would be?  Well, the NY Times has the perfect fix...trade with a friend who is the same size! What an easy, and cheap solution if you find your friends wardrobe inspirational and they yours then what better solution is there?! Buying a whole new wardrobe, though it would be fun, is just not the practical thing to do so I say...One Girls Trash is Another Girls Treasure!

Hope you feel inspired!

Constance

Constance
Today's look is a fun everyday casual look with a little Gossip Girl inspiration. This look is a blue and white oxford dress shirt with a super amazing sparkly tie loosely around your neck as if it was a necklace, and a black vest unbuttoned over top. Put this look with some dark skinnies, and these great knee high black boots. For the accessories wear some great chandelier earrings, and a big sparkly watch and to top it off have a big bold statement bag. This look is fun and easy so make it your own but I'm sure you will look great! Enjoy!

Grocery Store Mama!

So I was asked to put together a look for a beautiful busy mother of two little ones. She doesn’t get to go many places besides running errands and to the grocery store. So she asked me to put together an outfit that was stylish yet practical, so I gave it my best. I think this outfit is adorable and all the pieces are under $50 so it is easy to create yourself. A plaid shirt with some boyfriend jeans, that is comfy, cute, and perfect for running errands. I am personally a huge fan of scarves so I am always adding a scarf to my outfit so that is exactly what I did here. These boots are super cute and will look great with the jeans tucked in. The accessories are simple beaded bracelets and some cute studs, the bag is great because it can double as a diaper bag but is super cute. For your hair and makeup just do the usual nothing too fancy for this. A chic mama may have inspired this look but anyone can wear this look for a casual date, errands, or everyday look. Hopefully you all enjoy and find this outfit as stylish as I do.

Winter Warm Up!

Winterland
Well this winter has been pretty warm up until now! Since the snow has finally decided to show up, we clearly need to stay warm but warm doesn’t mean look boring and drab. So, I put this great look together for you girls who need a little fabulous to add to your drab winter wardrobe. I started with a metallic silver sweater, and dark skinny jeans, and a pair of the cutest rain/winter boots in black. For a little extra color add this great pink scarf and nail polish, silver hoop earrings, and keep the makeup natural with a natural gloss, maybe do your hair in a messy ratted pony to show off the earrings. Finally you need to be warm out in this freezing weather so this adorable black trench coat is just the ticket to keep you warm and the great black silver and white bag is perfect to complete this great outfit! Well I hope you all enjoy and stay warm!!

Finally!

Hi Everyone!

It seems like I haven't done a blog in forever...probably because I haven't. So I am FINALLY back and writing now that the busy time of year is over and I promise I'm going to make a valiant effort to stay on top of this. The Holidays were wonderful, I got to spend them with my entire family in Wisconsin, and see my wonderful brother Ben preach for the first time, and might I add his sermon “Finally” was wonderful. My New Year was spent with my surrogate sister Melissa and her beautiful little family. Anyways onto the fashion, though we all wish this winter would just be over so we can jump into the beautiful spring trends, it unfortunately is not so I’m going to give you some ideas to spice up your drab winter wardrobe. Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and I’m looking forward to styling you all again!
